Anxiety

Anxiety is a normal part of life. We all feel anxious at times! Starting a new job, meeting new friends, and going on dates can all be anxiety-provoking. However, when feelings of anxiety become extreme or stick around longer than is considered ‘normal’, they can get in our way of living life the way we wish we could.

An anxiety disorder is a constant state of fear and often makes it difficult to keep in contact with friends, hold down a job, or even complete daily tasks such as going grocery shopping. Left untreated, anxiety will only get worse. Make an appointment with me to start on your path to wellness. Unlike other forms of therapy that dictates that you to do things you don’t feel ready for, I will help you gain back your own confidence in your own time to tackle life in the way you want to. Instead of me as your therapist simply challenging your behaviour and thought patterns and telling you how to live, together we get to the root cause of what is making you feel anxious in the first place. This provides you with a greater understanding of yourself, empowering you to change your life to suit your own needs.
